Vintage Mink (?) Capelet

This capelet is in wonderful condition. The fur is not marked, but is assumed to be mink based on the construction with long pelts in a reddish color, forming a striped pattern. The capelet's panels are not connected at the bottom (e.g. where the front panel meets the side/back panel at the bottom) but on one side, have been stitched lightly together. The stitching on the other side has come loose but could be redone, or else the stitching could be removed from the remaining side. The capelet has versatile sizing but would fit a larger S, a M, or a smaller L, depending on shoulder size. This capelet's era is not confirmed but could be from the 40's, 50's, or early 60's. It is marked as being from Carbo's Fur Shop Allentown. 

A note on vintage fur: We do not support the production of new fur. Heck, we don't support the production of new clothes - the world has so many already! But we hate to see high-quality anything go to waste. We think these pieces should be used, worn, and loved. If you don't feel comfortable with animal materials, though, we totally understand. We look for natural materials and you may find something nice in cotton or linen in our other catetories. We make exceptions for acrylic and polyester for that extra-special vintage find, too.
